These Nine Categories Are Involved in The Plastic Restriction Order by The End of 2020

At present, Lanzhou market supervision and administration bureau implements the prohibition and restriction management on some plastic products by regions, areas and stages, and sets the following detailed standards for some categories related to the ban by the end of 2020.

1.Ultra thin plastic shopping bags with thickness less than 0.025mm

Ultra thin plastic shopping bags with thickness less than 0.025mm are used for holding and carrying articles; the scope of application is in accordance with GB / t21661 "plastic shopping bags".

2.Polyethylene agricultural film with thickness less than 0.01 mm

The non degradable agricultural ground covering film with thickness less than 0.01 mm is made from polyethylene as the main raw material. The application scope, film thickness and mechanical property index refer to the standard of GB 13735 polyethylene blown agricultural ground covering film.

3.Disposable foam plastic tableware

That is, disposable plastic tableware made of foam plastics.

4.Disposable plastic cotton swab

Disposable cotton swabs made of plastic rods, excluding related medical devices.

5.Daily chemical products containing plastic beads

In order to play the role of sanding, exfoliating and cleaning, washing cosmetics (such as bath lotion, cleanser, scrub cream, shampoo, etc.) and toothpaste and tooth powder with particle size less than 5 mm are intentionally added.

6.Manufacturing plastic products from medical waste

It is forbidden to produce plastic products with medical wastes included in the regulations on the management of medical wastes and the classified catalogue of medical wastes.

7.Non degradable plastic bag

Non degradable plastic shopping bags used to hold and carry articles in shopping malls, supermarkets, pharmacies, bookstores, catering packaging and takeout services, exhibitions and other activities, excluding plastic pre packaged bags, continuous roll bags and fresh-keeping bags used for holding bulk fresh food, cooked food, pasta and other commodities for health and food safety purposes.

8.Disposable plastic tableware

Disposable non degradable plastic knives, forks and spoons used in catering service, excluding disposable plastic tableware for prepackaged food.

9.Disposable plastic straw

Disposable non degradable plastic straws used for drinking liquid food in catering service, excluding the plastic straws on the outer packaging of milk, drinks and other food.

The refinement standard will be dynamically updated and adjusted according to the actual implementation. In response to major public emergencies such as natural disasters, accident disasters, public health events and social security events, disposable plastic products used for emergency support, material distribution and catering services in specific areas shall be exempted from prohibition and restriction.
